1,867 PointsProblem with the OnRestoreState Method
Can someone please help me find a solution to the code for setting the text and TextView and equalling it tp the value of the bundle.
Thank you
import android.content.Intent;
import android.view.View;
public class MainActivity extends Activity {
public TextView mTextView;
private static final String KEY_USERENTRY = "KEY_USERENTRY";
@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
mTextView = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.textView);
}
@Override
protected void onSaveInstanceState(Bundle outState) {
super.onSaveInstanceState(outState);
outState.putInt(KEY_USERENTRY, 10);
}
@Override
protected void onRestoreInstanceState(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onRestoreInstanceState(savedInstanceState);
mTextView.setText(String.KEY_USERENTRY);
}
}

5,008 PointsTry mTextView.setText(savedInstanceState.getInt(KEY_USERENTRY)+""); instead of mTextView.setText(String.KEY_USERENTRY);

1,867 PointsThanks Hwl,
This was the code cracker: mTextView.setText(savedInstanceState.getInt(KEY_USERENTRY) + "");
