I am unable to properly understand the question
import random
start=5
while(start):
num=random.randint(1,99)
def even_odd(num):
if num%2==0:
print('{} is even'.format(num))
else:
print('{} is odd',format(num))
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
start=start-1

Treehouse Moderator 68,457 PointsYou code seems to have gotten jumbled. The function even_odd
should be kept outside and separate from the while
loop. The function will be called as needed from within the while
loop.
- change the
if
condition toeven_odd(num)
. This returns a True/False result - the second format method has a typo: replace preceding comma with a period.
Post back if you have more questions. Good Luck!!
