Chain some animation effects to the $('.profile-header') element.

6,303 PointsWhat you have on the third line is all you need.
$('.profile-header').hide().delay(2000).fadeIn();
It ends up getting interpreted as:
$('.profile-header').hide();
$('.profile-header').delay(2000);
$('.profile-header').fadeIn();
But is much simpler / cleaner.
