54,915 PointsHi Briona,
It looks like you have all of the correct code you need, but everything is in your HTML file.
First cleanup your anchor tags so that the href and class areas are unbroken. It appears that href="#" was broken when the class name was inserted.
Then remove the CSS markup from the HTML file and place it in the CSS file between the { }.
When you fix these two areas, your code will pass. It should look something like this:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<title>List Example</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css">
</head>
<body>
<a href="#" class="social-links">Follow me on Twitter!</a>
<a href="#" class="social-links">Send me an Email!</a>
</body>
</html>
.social-links {
padding: 15px;
margin: 10px;
}
Cheers!

Treehouse Project ReviewerHi, your styles need to be added in your CSS file within the social-links class rule.
.social-links {
padding: 15px;
margin-top: 10px;
}
Your HTML markup also appears to be incorrect, you havent correctly written your attributes within your anchor elements.
Your code:
<a href class="social-links""#">Follow me on Twitter!</a>
<a href class="social-links""#">Send me an Email!</a>
Correct code:
<a href="#" class="social-links">Follow me on Twitter!</a>
<a href="#" class="social-links">Send me an Email!</a>
P.S. The challenge hasn't asked you to add a border, it asks you to add padding and margin properties.
