231,275 PointsThe procedure could vary with the browser, but on Chrome you can hold the "Ctrl" button down as you click on a link to cause it to open in a new tab. Another way is to right-click which will cause a pop-up context menu to appear, and then in that menu you can select "Open Link in New Tab".
