I did the challenge in the video without using a variable, as the data in the variable is gonna be used once so I wanted to know if that's good practice or no?

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Graduate 25,822 PointsI would say that for smaller application this is fine. It's good practice to get into though in my own opinion. Mainly, it helps in readability and looks a little cleaner, but like I said thats more for the larger files and matters less on smaller apps or one use apps.
For the treehouse code challenges: if it works then roll with it.
