HTML HTML Forms Form Basics Create a Submit Button

on the button element created in the last step add type attribute submit

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>HTML Forms</title> </head> <body> <form action ="index.html" method="post">

 <input type="text" id="name" name="user_name">
  <textarea id="comment" name="user_comment"></textarea>
  <button>Submit Comment</button>
  <button type="Submit"></button></form>

I have tired the above its not working . If you are going to comment on this type exactly what needs to be done

  • Ok the step of that challenge: On the button element created in the last step add type attribute submit:

This is what you have:

 <form action="index.html" method="post">
      <input type="text" id="name" name="user_name"> 
      <textarea id="comment" name="user_comment"></textarea>
      <button>Submit Comment</button> <!-- This is the button with the type submit-->
      <button type="Submit"></button> <!-- This doesn't have to exist -->
</form>

And you need something like this: 

 <form action="index.html" method="post">
      <input type="text" id="name" name="user_name"> 
      <textarea id="comment" name="user_comment"></textarea>
      <button type="submit">Submit Comment</button> <!-- This is the button with the type submit-->
</form>
