JavaScript Node.js Basics 2017 Building a Command Line Application Making a GET Request with https

On a new line, call the get method on the https object you created. Pass in the string

I tried to solve this code challenge and nothing is working.

app.js
const https = require("https");

// this is where you create/assign the 'request' variable the result of your get request
var request = http.get("http://teamtreehouse.com/chalkers.json", function(response){
  console.log(response.statusCode);
});

request.on('error', function(error){});

const https = require('https');

https.get('https://teamtreehouse.com/chalkers.json', function(response){ console.log(response.statusCode); });

I think you've over-engineered this a bit. You're using http instead of https like you defined above.

const https = require('https'); https.get('https://teamtreehouse.com/chalkers.json', function(response) { console.log(response.statusCode); });
