Nothing I do works, keeps saying Bummer! Make sure you change the second if statement into a switch statement.

Tried multiple ways, maybe I'm not understanding the question correctly.

switch.php
<?php
//Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber
if (!isset($role)) {
    $role = 'subscriber';
}

//change to switch statement
//if ($role != 'admin') {
//    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
//}

switch ($role) {
    case 'admin':
    echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post.";
    break;
  default:
    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
    break;
}

?>

Hi John,

your code is correct! Maybe it is misinterpreted by the fact that you have commented out the second if-statement. Try to get rid of that and delete the commented out if-statement. I think it's a bug.

<?php
//Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber
if (!isset($role)) {
    $role = 'subscriber';
}

switch ($role) {
    case 'admin':
    echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post.";
    break;
  default:
    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
    break;
}

?>
