Not sure whats wrong. combined the two var's: var userName = id+lastName.toUpperCase; but it says bummer.

Not sure whats wrong. combined the two var's:

var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";

shouldnt the answer be: var userName= id+lastName.toUpperCase();

But there's more that needs to be done.

Instead of combining them directly, there should be a pound sign ("#") in between them. So you need to combine all 3 things.

Plus, both of the strings need the case conversion, not just the last name.
