Not sure what the interpreter wants. I have two solutions that worked on my browser. Help!

These are the two solutions that have worked on my browser: 1) let nav = document.querySelector('nav'); let navigationLinks = nav.querySelectorAll('li'); let galleryLinks; let footerImages;

2) edit the html so that the <li> that I want to grab have a className of navLink. <li class='navLink'><a href="index.html" class="selected">Portfolio</a></li> <li class='navLink'><a href="about.html">About</a></li> <li class='navLink'><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>

app.js: let navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('.navLink'); let galleryLinks; let footerImages;

Both of these solutions return a collection of the 3 <li> tags that the challenge is requesting. I can't see another way to do it and clearly there is a different way the interpreter is looking for. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks!

js/app.js
let navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('.navLink');
let galleryLinks;
let footerImages;

Don't change the HTML, the purpose of the exercise is to select things as they are.

Your first attempt was close, it would have selected the list items in the nav element. But the instructions ask you to "select all links in the nav element", and links are represented by anchor ("a") elements.
