Not showing as console log saying error with brackets?

I've copied what Guil has done and mine won't load on the browser, in the console log is just says: if () { console.log('The condition is true.'); } else { console.log('The condition is false.'); }

What I have:

let correctGuess = false; const number = 2; const guess = prompt('Guess a number between 1 and 10.');

if ( +guess === number ) { correctGuess = true; }

if ( correctGuess === true ) { console.log("You guessed the number!"); } else { console.log(Sorry. The number was ${number}.); }

I've combed through it multiple times, what am I missing?

Hello Deanna,

You are very close. I changed your second console.log statement to include backticks and put your semi colon after your }; on the last line.
