Python Regular Expressions in Python Introduction to Regular Expressions Escapes

Not clear on the instructions Now, write a function named numbers() that takes two arguments

I little confused on the instructions

  return re.search(r'\d', str)

  return re.match(r'\W * int(i)',str)

Hi,

You need to replace the number 1, with a variable, like count, in your code. Also, the * count section of the code needs to be outside the quotes.

And \W matches things that aren't word characters. Handy, but it'll also match punctuation, spaces, and anything else that isn't a number. I bet that pattern would be better served with \d.
