none return type functions ?

whats the point of using none return types of functions, when making and app.

what do they do if they don't return anything ?

They can be used to perform some actions. Suppose you have a button which changes the text on pressing the button then you don't have to return anything. You can simply associate a function with button which changes the text of the label. In short non returning functions can be used to manipulate some information (global variables).
