Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Conditional Value

'none' is not a string or a list? how do we change to true if its not anything?

I'm not understanding how to change admitted to true. Some help would be appreciated!

Even though admitted starts out representing nothing (None), you can always re-assign it later to represent something (else), including True.

admitted is a variable reference. So admitted = None means the variable admitted is referencing the value None (stored in memory some where - not important as Python handles that). You change it's value by changing what it refers to. 

# change admitted to False
admitted = False
# change admitted to True
admitted = True
