No Custom Post Type Image

I'm working on an Isis child theme and created a custom post type "work" to display a portfolio. I have all the templates in place: work.php, content-work.php, and single-work.php. My problem is that when I insert a custom field for an image in the content-work.php, it doesn't show the post image, it shows the alt text. I've triple checked the code, and the fields match, so I'm stuck. Thanks.
