You don't need the parenthesis around the second conditional check and != needs to be spaced out to pass.

<?php
$username = 'sketchings';
//Available roles: author, editor, admin
$role = 'editor';

if ($username && $role != 'admin') {

//add conditional statement
echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administratior.";
}

Make sure its spaced out as well to pass:

$role != 'admin'
