i dont know why it wont work

Challenge Task 2 of 3

Let's add a few items to our grocery list. Switch to the implementation file and in the viewDidLoad method, initialize the shoppingList array to the following items: 'toothpaste', 'bread' and 'eggs'.

Hi There, you're on the right track, there're, however, a few issues there with your code.

  • Missing a s for @"egg" String.
  • Missing a semicolon at the end of the line
  • You should assigning the new Array to the self.shoppingList, not NSArray *array
  • lastly, all the code you write for this step of challenge needs be inside the viewDidLoad method implementation, not outside of it.

- (void)viewDidLoad {
    [super viewDidLoad];

    // Add your code below!
    self.shoppingList = [NSArray arrayWithObjects: @"toothpaste", @"bread", @"eggs", nil];

You could also do: 

  self.shoppingList = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects: @"toothpaste", @"bread", @"eggs", nil];

Williams answer above handles the alloc and init within the "arrayWithObjects" method, so its a little cleaner/ easier.
