HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Make It Beautiful With CSS Test: Styling by Element and Class

Need assistance with "borders"

When I was ask to give the border "red, 4px wide, and solid" it still says to enter red in the <p> border. Did I do it correctly?

index.html
<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
  </head>
  <body>

    <p class="main-pg">My amazing website</p>

  </body>
</html>
styles.css
.main-pg {text-align centered
  border: solid red 4px wide;
}

You have a few missing characters and some extra ones in your CSS. Below your CSS is:

.main-pg {text-align centered
  border: solid red 4px wide;
}

You've not got a ":" for the text-align attribute meaning that it isn't being read to begin with, and you do not need "wide" at the end of your border attribute. It should be as below:

.main-pg  {
                 text-align: center;
                 border: solid red 4px;
                 }

Hope this helps!
