I get this error and i don't understand why: Bummer: Hmm, no .groups() attribute. Did you do a match?
import re
string = 'Perotto, Pier Giorgio'
names = re.match(r"""
^(?P<last>[\w]+),\s
(?P<first>[\w\s]+)$
""", string, re.I | re.M)

9,566 PointsNevermind guys. I tried the same code in single line without the ^ $ and re.M and the group names (?P<>) and it worked. But if anyone can explain the diffrence to me i would be glad :)

9,566 PointsThe code doesn't have a group() attribute because it gives None as output, but can anyone help me to understand why this code can't find the first and the last name?
