my solution. 

.secondary { 
  width: 40%;
  float: left; 
}
.primary {
  width: 55%;
  float: right;
}
.group::after {
  content:"";
  display: table;
  clear: both;
}

i got the same result. it seems that it didnt need padding to separate the content. is it a good way of doing it ?thank you

From my understanding, you never really needed the padding once you define the float width and the float clearfix rule, which you have.
