30,220 PointsI'm sorry. I think I misunderstood your original question. I thought you were just having issues with the images not shrinking.
You're trying to get the images to stack for small screens as opposed to side-by-side? You can should use media queries and can use flex-box or grid for this. If you don't want to use flex or grid, you can do it simply by displaying the images as as block elements rather than inline elements which will introduce line breaks.
