Hey,
Please help! It prints the last name typed in the prompt.
Thanks
CODE: var message = ''; var student; var search;
function print(message) { var outputDiv = document.getElementById('output'); outputDiv.innerHTML = message; }
function getStudentReport(student) { var report = '<h2> Student: ' + student.name + '</h2>'; report += '<p> Track: ' + student.track + '</p>'; report += '<p> Achievments: ' + student.achievments + '</p>'; report += '<p> Points: ' + student.points + '</p>'; return report; }
while (true) { search = prompt('Search student records: type a name [Jody] (or type quit to end)'); if( search === null || search.toLowerCase() === 'quit') { break; } for (var i = 0; i < students.length; i += 1) { student = students[i]; if ( student.name === search ) { message = getStudentReport(student); print(message); } } }

12,928 PointsHey Daniel,
This one had me stumped too, but it turns out that it's because of a change in the behaviour of most major browsers since this video was shot.
I've come across a note from Treehouse (in another post) that they're working to update this video to reflect the changes. You can find that note in this post (https://teamtreehouse.com/community/my-solution-is-slightly-different-having-difficulty-with-extra-challenges).

37,150 PointsYou can format your code by wrapping your code with 3 backticks (```) on the line before and after. If you specify the language after the first set of backticks, that'll help us with syntax highlighting.
var test = 'string';
