15,044 PointsMy code makes the students names disappear, but I can't pass the challenge???
Inside of your click handler, use jQuery to select event.target. Then call the hide() method on your selection. If your code is correct, in preview mode the student names should disappear when clicked.
Bummer: Did you supply the arguments "'click', function(event) { ... }" to the "on" method call on the jQuery object with an argument of "'.student-list'"?
Here is my code:
$('.student-list).on('click', 'li', function(event) { $(event.target).hide(); });
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<title>Document</title>
</head>
<body>
<h2>Student List</h2>
<ul class="student-list">
<li>James McAvoy</li>
<li>Alena Holligan</li>
<li>Wade Christensen</li>
<li>Matt Krzyzynski</li>
</ul>
<script
src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
<script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
$('.student-list').on('click', 'li', function(event) {
$(event.target).hide();
});

Great attempt! Just need to remove the li reference as its not required :)
$('.student-list').on('click', function(event) {
$(event.target).hide();
});
