Margin, Borders and Padding

What are the limitations of using margins border and padding, I'm only guessing you can use them to some extent?

No real limitations as such.

I would look into how the box-model works and also look when you might want to use something like:

box-sizing: border-box;

This should help give a better understanding of how margins, border and padding work.
