JavaScript JavaScript Basics Working with Strings Combine and Manipulate Strings

Make sure you're concatenating `: ` to `lastName` and `role`.

What am I doing wrong? I keep getting concatenation errors.

app.js
let firstName = "Kim";
let lastName = "Robinson";
let role = "developer";

  let msg = firstName+  ' ' +lastName+ ':'+role.toUpperCase();

It looks like you just forgot the space to separate it from the role:

let msg = firstName + ' ' + lastName + ': ' + role.toUpperCase();
//                                       ^ space after colon
