CSS CSS Basics (2014) Enhancing the Design With CSS Transparent Gradients and Multiple Backgrounds

Main Header is just white. No image or default orange.

I started with just this below and checked the preview but nothing showed up, just a white background. I assume my browser is having some issues with the files? Can anyone confirm this? .main-header { padding-top: 170px; height: 850px; background: linear-gradient (#ffa949, transparent 90%), #ffa949 url('../img/mountains.jpg') no-repeat center; background-size: cover; }

Remove the space between linear-gradient and (#ffa949, transparent 90%)

This same problem happened to me. I went back and noticed that "transparent" was misspelled which can happen since I type pretty fast.
