Looks like in stuck on add a # in the middle of the username. I should doing it like this but it isn't working?

userName = id+"#"+lastName.toUpperCase();

how can I make the # show up in the middle of the users first and last name?

Hey Jeffrey,

You are really close, you just need to add in the already changed username variable (the one you assigned the upperCase of ID to into the new username variable .

userName = username + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
