list of instructions followed by the computer to run a program

when we run an application in computer , the computer follows a list of instructions that we or someone who made that software or application have written called program like how it should be run , so where are these list of instructions called program located in our computer for any application that we run and in which form they are located in our pc. are they located in the setup files for any program installed by us in our C DRIVE or WHAT and if they re then in which form they are there in the setup of that software or application like running windows media player setup ??

Hey again umang, if your into the digital litteracy i recommend you actually google some of these questions, seeing as 90% of the people on earth has asked them. To your question: Where is the list of instructions? Well this depends what program where talking about, and where you put them. If your running a game its following a set of instructions, but where the game is located? Idk.. maybe you put in on your desktop, or a games folder. As for where its actually located, this would be in your hard disk, or ssd. This is where all your memory is located, including your operating system. As for the question about which form these programs take, there is no answer seeing as there are so many possibilites. Programs written in python has a .py in java .java. There are so many different kinds of files some that you may see often are .exe or .bat. I hope this answers your question!
