Linux Workspace Hotkeys?

Hey, so I'm starting with html and the front end track and Nick Pettit or whoever is going over hotkeys. I'm using Ubuntu Gnome and noticed that ctrl+arrow does not jump to the start or end of a line, It only jumps one word at a time. Its the same for both chrome and firefox. Is there a different hotkey that would perform the function of jumping to the end of a line on linux generally, or on this distro in particular? Its a pain to not be able to navigate lines as easily, and I'd like to avoid switching to my windows boot just for Treehouse.

Workspaces is run on a virtual machine in the cloud so it shouldn't be affected by your operating system. I tried the keyboard shortcut on my Windows Desktop and Linux Desktop and it acted like you described. Workspaces probably just changed since they made the video, would be my guess.

In general, if you want to jump to the start of a line of text in a document, simply hit the "home" key on your keyboard. To get to the end of a line, hit the "end" key. Can't get too much more "shortcut" than that, I don't think. Sometimes, the basics just can't be beat.
