Layout_alignStart or Layout_alignLeft/right?

Don't they essentially do the same thing? In what scenario would you use left/right instead of start/end? I tried reading: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25555953/whats-the-difference-between-the-layout-alignstart-tag-and-and-layout-alignleft

I tried reading the link above, but I couldnt really grasp how it can relate to consistency, could soemone clarify my mind?

start/end are the same as either left/right. Which one depends on the device's language because some languages read right-to-left. So start is the side where you start reading, and end the side where you stop.

I was literally thinking about the device programming languange and I was confused. But after I've read your comment they literaly mean languange as in English, French, etc haha

Thank you!
