Lack of design skills

I am trying to complete my track on Javascript. I am not at interested in UI design and my design skills are poor. WIll that affect me as a developer?

No not really, I mean if you go and work for a business as a Javascript developer then you'll be with a team of people to help with stuff like that. Everyone has strength and weaknesses and being a good designer is definitely NOT a required skill for Javascript (or any programming) development. Good luck with your classes :)

I completely agree with Zachary, I am not the greatest designer. However I have been programming mainly with back-end languages such as php and have tried to stay away from javascript, however now it seems like I need to know a little more as I delve deeper into programming. This does not mean that I have to know everything about being a designer.

Also if you get stuck on designs for sites, go look at some wordpress themes, and try and re-create them yourself using html,css,js,php etc.
