keeps telling me im wrong Create a player variable with the string 'Jasmine' in it. var player = 'jasmine';

Create a player variable with the string 'Jasmine' in it.

I see two issues in the code:

  • the output is case-sensitive and you wrote "jasmine" (lower case) instead of "Jasmine" (capital "J")
  • don't copy the instructions into the code area, or at least preface the line with ("//") to make it a comment.

Also, just in general you might not want to add other code like alert not specifically asked for, it may cause some challenges to not accept an otherwise suitable answer.
