/JS and The DOM course/last Challenge/Task1 How do i solve this task?

Hello,

i'm currently working on the JS and The DOM course. I encountered some difficulties by the last challenge however. The task is : In the following tasks you'll be required to select various elements on the index.html page. In the app.js file on line 1, select all links in the nav element and assign them to navigationLinks. I suggested : let navigationLinks = document.getElementsByTagName('nav')[0].getElementsByTagName('a'); This answer will be accepted but getting to the second part of the challange it says 'Oops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing.' I'm assuming that my answer is wrong. Can I get some help in this one?

js/app.js
let navigationLinks = document.getElementsByTagName('nav')[0].getElementsByTagName('a');
let galleryLinks
let footerImages;

I have been struggling with this task for some time myself. I did not get any trouble with your code when I went to the next task. My cod looked like this: ''' let navigationLinks = document.getElementsByTagName('nav')[0].getElementsByTagName('a'); let galleryLinks = document.getElementById('gallery').getElementsByTagName('a'); let footerImages; '''

Thank you for your respond. It was helpful. My mistake was by the second part of the challenge.

You can also use descending selectors for .querySelectorAll()

.querySelectorAll('nav ul li a');
