I'm trying to practice the javascript stuff that I learned but when I make an html document and link the javascript and put (alert("I'm nice");) into the file and run it. I get an error message that says... JSLint Problem - 'alert' was used before it was defined... What am I doing wrong? What does this error mean? What is JSLint Problem?

I think it's because you are wrapping your alert in parenthesis. Try just using alert("I'm nice"); and see if that works.

Can you show us how you're linking the JS and the code you're using?
