Javascript Basics max() + alert

Hey Guys I keep on getting the same Error message saying “Bummer: Did you pass 2 numbers to the max() function.”.

script.js
var num1;
var num2;

function max(num1, num2) {
  return num1 * num2;
}
if (num2 > num1) {
    alert(num2 + "is the larger on!");
    } else {
    alert(num1 + "is the one");
    }

alert(Math.random(max(4, 5)));

I can't believe that worked.

Hey Karina.

You don't need all that code. :) Simply trim it down to the following and it should be fine.

function max(num1, num2) {
  return num1 * num2;
}

alert(Math.random(max(4, 5)));
