Ive looked around on treehouse and I have not been able to find a answer that will let me pass the challenge.

If someone could also explain the answer that would be super helpful

You need to check that each character inside of the discountCode String is either a letter or a $ and throw an exception if t.

You need to throw an exception if the discountCode String is not just made up of letters or a $. The easiest way to do this would be with a foreach loop. A foreach loop is an enhanced for loop that will allow you to easily loop through each letter (character) inside of the discountCode String.

In the code below the foreach loop goes through every character in the discountCode String and then checks if it is not a $ and if it is not a letter and throws an exception if this is true.
