Is using modular media queries a better idea?

While doing one of the SASS courses on TreeHouse, Guil recommends using modular media queries i.e. putting the different css for the different viewports right in line with the style, and so the media queries section becomes redundant. Is this a good idea for developing with Genesis?

It depends on what you find easier to organize. I've found that when I use the include-media sass library and inline media queries my projects are much easier to maintain.
