Is this validation learning process for us to understand what needs to be done when working on future projects?

Reason I ask, when validating my "index.html" I received 1 error and 3 warnings and when I validated "main.css" I received 5 errors. Thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance.

You are correct. It's good practice to do so on every project we work on. It helps with finding errors that may cause issues hen viewing your page.
