306 PointsIs there a way that I can make entries to my workspace AND have the video play?
I am running Windows 7. I would like to be able to use my workspace AND watch the video at the same time. Is it possible? Currently I have to continually toggle between the workspace and video. I can view my workspace while the video is playing but I cannot use the workspace. When I do the video gets minimized. If I click on the video while the workspace is also being displayed then the workspace gets minimized. Thanks

231,261 PointsI also run Win7 and I've never had any trouble placing the windows side-by-side or top-bottom, and moving from one window to the other doesn't cause either one to minimize.
Perhaps it's a browser setting? You could check your settings and/or try another browser. (I use Chrome).

4,486 PointsYou can alter the sizing of workspaces and the video screen, such as splitting your screen space between 2 separate browser windows. I did that for a while, but it never worked great for me.
Having 2 separate browser sessions in full screen, and alt+tab between the 2 as needed sped things up.
Dusted off an old monitor in storage, picked up a HDMI to VGA dongle, and I now have a rudimentary multi-screen setup now.
It's not pretty, but it gets the job done. Atom, Workspaces or another text editor is on the old monitor, and I stream the video on my laptop screen. It is a lot easier for me to keep pace with the instructor while updating code with 2 monitors.

306 PointsI am also using chrome. I'll check settings. Can you make entries to your workspace while the video window stays up? Thanks

231,261 PointsI've often "followed along" in the workspace while watching the video. Changing focus to the workspace window does not minimize the other one or affect video playback.
