Is the .copy() method the only way to remove every item from a list?

Can you just create a for loop like this?

for item in len(inventory): inventory.remove[len]

If you remove every item from a list you are left with an empty list []. You can simply reassign the variable to point to an empty list

long_list = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]
long_list = []
