Is my condition statement wrong? Preview confirms my code is correct while check work says it doesn't see the else.

I keep getting Bummer: I don't see the message 'a is NOT greater than b'

Hi there, Cory Sanders ! You're close! But remember, this is an alert() which is not subject to formatting at all. It's different from the document.write() which can write HTML tags to the document. The alert() happens at the Window level.

Long story short: remove all your <p> and </p> tags. Alerts do not contain HTML :smiley:
