JavaScript JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects Simplify Repetitive Tasks with Loops A Closer Look at Loop Conditions

Is JavaScript a compiled language or interpreted? When I read here about hoisting it says it occurs during compilation.

Other sources say it's an interpreted language.

:point_right: JavaScript is an interpreted language.

However, the internal processing includes a step which is referred to as "compilation", where the code is reduced to a more compact internal representation which varies with the implementation and may not be pure machine code. In any case, unlike a complied language, this internal translation from source occurs every time the code is run.
