674 PointsIs HAXM really necessary?
I thought the most recent iterations of Android Studio made HAXM not quite as necessary.
From my research on HAXM, I am under the impression that your computer needs at least 8 gigs of RAM to run HAXM. Otherwise the hardware benefits of it are lost by the computer racing to make it work.
Be aware that you MUST have a GENUINE Intel processor to use HAXM. If you do not, then there is no way to "make it work." There is no alternative. Your emulator will just have to rely on Android Studio. Which is a little slow but not the end of the world.
