6,762 PointsIs color: #bdc3c7 under selector "#gallery li" unnecessary?
#gallery li {
float: left;
width: 45%;
margin: 2.5%;
background-color: #f5f5f5;
color: #bdc3c7;
}
#gallery li a p {
margin: 0;
padding: 5%;
font-size: 0.75em;
color: #bdc3c7;
}
I noticed color: #bdc3c7; has been defined twice. Actually, the second one takes effect. What about the first one under selector "#gallery li"? Is it unnecessary?

231,236 PointsThose rules target different things.
They may both use the same color, but one affects the color of text inside paragraphs, and the other affects the color of text directly inside list items:
<ul id="gallery">
<li>The first rule colors this text
<a href="#"><p>The second rule colors this instead</p></a>
</li>
</ul>
