Yes! A tremendous amount of jobs are available in the US. Peruse indeed.com to get an idea. You also are going to have new and exciting things coming at you each day and aren't going to be stagnating.

I like the flexibility that the field provides with the incentive that comes with self-learning. You can literally educate yourself on your own time and increase your job security and your financial worth.

If you do anything else on the side, you could augment it with a part-time career as a developer.
