Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Returning Values

Is all of the mathematical actions give as a value in return?

As in the title, and also.. If we have input to mathematical operations, like division, we have to define them as int or float always? Because the python is reading costumer input as str, so for division we have to define it as number(int or float) to not get syntax - am i right or wrong?

You're right, mathematical operations do return a value.

And you're also right, since input comes in as a string, you must first convert it to a number before performing math with it. The choice of "int" or "float" will depend on what kind of numbers you are working with.
