iOS Provisioning Profiles and ad hoc testing distribution

Hi, I have a very simple app that I've built for a friend and would like to be able to send it to him so that he can run it on his phone. However I am getting completely bogged down in certificates, provisioning profiles, app bundle id's, etc. It's a ton of information and I'm overwhelmed. Completely new to it all.

I was surprised to find no treehouse course about it all (or maybe there is?).

Anyway, any help or guidance is most appreciated. darcy
