I wanted to try the ios development program and wanted to find out if I can do the program on Windows. If it is, Can I download x code on my window surface?

Courses Plus Student 22,191 PointsNo. Xcode is a Mac OS only application. iOS/macOS and any Swift development related to Apple is intended to be done on a Mac. Sorry :/

Okay, so any of the treehouse course can be taken on most any devices, as the quizzes and challenges will allow you to compile the code they request, right in your browser. If you have an iPad you can download 'Swift Playgrounds' which can help you learn the Swift language but it is primarily following Apple's own tutorials on things, still it is useful.
The iPad however will not allow you to run Xcode on it as Xcode is built to be run only on a Mac. So you can most definitely take the course and practice by using the challenges and quizzes provided, but you won't be able to practice in Xcode without a Mac.
