Have you declared your DOCTYPE as:

<!DOCTYPE HTML5>

?

If so it is declared incorrectly, to declare an HTML5 DOCTYPE it is just simply:

<!DOCTYPE html>

This might be the cause of your problem?

If not you might need to post your code so we can find the error.
